We are not a government body, a statutory authority, or an accreditation agency. We do not issue certificates on behalf of any authority. We are a technology company that provides private institutes with the tools to publish their own certificate records online and allows any person to look up those records instantly.

Our platform serves as a digital bridge between certificate-issuing institutes and those who need to verify the credentials — making a process that once took days of phone calls and emails happen in seconds.

Our mission is to eliminate certificate fraud in India's private education and training sector by giving every registered institute an affordable, easy-to-use digital verification system, and giving every employer, institution, and individual instant access to credential records.

India's private training and skill development sector issues millions of certificates every year — for computer courses, vocational training, professional development, language programs, fitness certifications, and countless other fields. Yet there has been no simple, central way for a private institute to publish these records online or for an employer to quickly check them.

For Institutes

We serve private educational institutes, vocational training centres, skill development organizations, coaching academies, computer training centres, language schools, fitness and wellness certification bodies, professional development providers, and any other private entity that issues certificates to its students or participants.

• You do not need to be government-recognized or affiliated to register on our platform.
• You do not need to be a registered company — sole proprietors and trusts are welcome.
• You must be legally operating and issuing genuine certificates for actual courses completed.

For Employers and HR Teams

Quickly cross-check a job applicant's claimed certificate from a private training institute before making a hiring decision. No account required — just enter the certificate number.

For Students and Certificate Holders

Share your certificate number or QR code with employers or institutions so they can instantly verify your credential. Your data is stored and displayed exactly as submitted by your Institute.

Given the nature of our service, we want to be absolutely transparent about what VerifyCertificate.online is not:

• We are not a government body. We have no statutory powers, no government funding, and no government affiliation.
• We are not an accreditation agency. Registering on our platform does not accredit, recognize, or officially validate any Institute or its courses.
• We are not DigiLocker, NAD, or any government-run credential repository. We operate independently of all government digital infrastructure.
• We are not affiliated with UGC, AICTE, NCVET, NSDC, or any regulatory body. Our platform has no connection to these institutions.
• We do not issue certificates. Only registered Institutes issue certificates. We only provide the digital verification infrastructure.
• We do not audit or independently verify Institute data. We rely entirely on Institutes to submit accurate and genuine certificate data.
• A "Verified" result is not a guarantee of genuineness. It only means a matching record exists in the Institute's uploaded data on our platform.
• We are not a legal authentication service. Our results should not be used as sole or legally conclusive evidence in any legal, judicial, immigration, or regulatory proceeding.

We take the security and privacy of certificate data and personal information extremely seriously. Our security infrastructure includes:

• 256-bit SSL / TLS 1.3 encryption on all data in transit.
• AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive database fields.
• bcrypt password hashing with a minimum cost factor of 12 for all Institute account passwords.
• CSRF token protection on all forms and state-changing requests.
• Rate limiting on all verification endpoints to prevent scraping and automated abuse.
• Role-based access control within Institute accounts.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Web application firewall and DDoS mitigation.

We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act 2000. For users in the EEA or UK, we also align with GDPR requirements.

VerifyCertificate.online was born from a simple observation: private training institutes in India were issuing millions of certificates with no easy way for anyone to verify them online. Employers were receiving unverifiable certificates. Students were carrying credentials with no digital backing. Fraud was easy.
